We had the pleasure of planning a company picnic for 600+ people on a construction site in Mountain Pass, California for MP Materials, off Bailey Rd in San Bernardino County. Most workplace company picnics happen in a parking lot — this one had earth movers as the backdrop instead, with tables and a BBQ food service area set up right on the job site. Our Rocky Island Obstacle Course featured a large mountain climbing wall — a natural fit for a picnic set right in the mountains of Mountain Pass. The Jurassic Adventure Playcenter offered a climbing wall, bounce area, and other obstacles sized right for younger guests, while the sports activities like basketball, axe throwing and dual lane skeeball gave families something more physical to dig into. Every piece of entertainment was chosen with this event's age range, ground type, and venue in mind, then strategically spaced out for convenient access — ensuring a short walk between food, beverages, comfortable seating and the activities.
