Company Picnic for 1,000 People at Knotts Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA - "Under The sea Themed"

We dived right into the fun with this company picnic for 1,000 people at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park and made a big splash with the employees and their families.  This corporate picnic had an "Under The Sea" theme, we brought some really cool ocean-inspired entertainment to tie into the thematic experience.  ​

Buena Park Company Picnic Planner

This company picnic was held out on the grassy area of Knott's Berry Farm under the bridge, and across from the theme park. It's right next to the small scale replica of Independence Hall (which you can see in the background).  This picnic area across from the theme park boasts a large grassy space which is perfect for a company picnic spread like the one we did here.

The weather in September is nice in Buena Park for a company picnic.  Buena Park is located about 20-25 minutes from the beach so it’s one of the cooler cities in North Orange County.  It's no surprise why they would want an ocean theme experience considering the distance this venue is from the beach.

Nautical Delights: Buena Park Corporate Picnic Catering

For this client, we provided all the entertainment, audio support, table & chairs, linens, and other rentals necessary.  The catering was done by Knott’s Berry Farm, not us (boo), while we would have loved to have provided all the food & beverage service, you can’t deny that Knott’s Berry Farm has some dang good fried chicken and boysenberry pie.  You haven't lived tho, until you've tried our catering services!​

It was Beachy Bliss with our "Under The Sea" Themed Entertainment

While we may have lost out on the catering to Knott’s Berry Farm, we made a huge splash with our field day games and other entertainment.

To stick with their under the sea adventure theme:

• Robo Surfer, a surfing simulator ride.
• Wild Wave Water Slide for a oceanside experience.
• Water Tag, for some good ol' wet and wild fun.
• Inflatable Ocean Playcenter, features dolphins swimming, jumping, splashing in the water.
• Zorb Ball Races, to mimic the under water bubbles.

You’ve got to be wondering, why soccer penalty kick?  Underwater futbol anyone? No, in all seriousness, the client wanted a sports activity that would be great out on the grassy field of this Buena Park venue, and the soccer kick appealed the  most to the group.

​What Submerged Soiree Would Be Complete Without Seating?

We provided all the picnic seating, tables, chairs, umbrellas, and colored linens.  The tables were 60-inch rounds, great for socializing and allowing better flow through an event.  Rectangular tables tend to box in an area and people have to talk down the table to one another.  It’s not an ideal setup if you want good engagement and social dynamics at your company picnic. ​

The colored linens were chosen by the client to match their corporate branding.  We have several different linen colors options that allow us to achieve the desired aesthetic for our clients.

​For this event we needed to add some extra speaker clusters to make sure that the sound quality was balanced throughout the event.
