A Night of Rides, Games, and Good Food in the Company's Own Backyard We had the pleasure of planning a parking lot company picnic in Avondale, Arizona for Premier Underground Construction. The picnic was held right in the company's parking lot for 550 attendees and ran from 5 to 9 p.m., since September afternoons in Arizona are still hot. We went with a carnival theme that included our MEGA field games with carnival backdrop and the Triple Lindy Slide. Under our inflatable carnival big top, coworkers played laid-back yard games, table games, and arcade-style games. Parking Lot Company Picnic Catering in AvondaleOur team set up the different food stations under our branded BBQ Food Service canopies, with a double-sided buffet line so coworkers could serve themselves from both sides of the table. Staff kept the chafing dishes stocked throughout dinner service, which ran from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
 A Trolley Open Bar at the Avondale Parking Lot PicnicNothing says employee appreciation like free drinks, and this parking lot company picnic served them out of a vintage red trolley converted into an open bar. A red carpet and gold stanchions led up the steps to the bar, where the adults grabbed canned beers and seltzers. It also made the field games a lot more competitive.  MEGA Carnival Field Games on the Avondale BlacktopThe MEGA Carnival Field Games ran from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in front of our inflatable carnival backdrop, which set the look for the whole game area. Our MC ran the games with music playing throughout, and players competed in challenges like Pickleball Dink and Spike It, with a MEGA Prize Table stocked for the winners. The games don't need a grass field, so everything was played right on the blacktop. We created MEGA Field Games to adapt to the venue and the size of the crowd, which makes them an easy fit for a parking lot company picnic. Carnival Rides and Midway Games Across the Avondale Company Picnic Lot On a regular workday, this lot is full of work trucks and stacks of pipe. For this company picnic, our team filled it with carnival rides, inflatable midway games, and umbrella tables where families could sit between turns. The company trucks stayed parked along the edges, so the whole carnival was set up right in the middle of where these employees work every day.
Carnival Big Top Games at the Avondale Company PicnicOur inflatable carnival big top set up a laid-back game area right on the blacktop, where coworkers could step in for a quick round between dinner and the field games.  A Carnival Fun Zone of Sweet Treats and Balloon AnimalsThe Carnival Fun Zone is where the theme really came together. Our Fun Food Shack served funnel cakes, popcorn, and shaved ice, which was a must at an Arizona company picnic. Right next door, the Fun Shack held our interactive artists, where kids lined up for balloon animals and face painting.
Front-Row Seats to the Whole CarnivalWe set up 60 table kits right in the center of the parking lot, so the food, the games, and the field games were all a short walk from any seat. Employees could drop their things at a table, grab dinner, play a few games, and still watch the field games from their seats. Each table had a 9-foot market umbrella for shade from the Arizona heat and a heavy, custom-fit vinyl cover. The vinyl covers stay put when the wind picks up and wipe clean fast, so our staff could bus tables quickly all through dinner. For sound, we placed speakers in all four corners of the lot, so the field games, music, and announcements came through clearly from anywhere at the picnic.
