Planning a Casino Night for Pepperdine University’s Pepp Gala Back to Black Late Night Lineup 20264/17/2026
300 college students for the Pepperdine Late Night Lineup event featuring Las Vegas–style casino table games and dealers with no gamblingPlanned in partnership with Pepperdine University’s Late Night Lineup student board, this Friday evening casino night was part of their Pepp Gala “Back to Black,” bringing 300 students together on the Malibu campus for blackjack, roulette, and Texas Hold’em. Six blackjack tables, two roulette tables, and two poker tables were staffed by our dealers, giving students a real casino-style experience without gambling. Our crew handled everything from load-in to breakdown, so the student board could actually be part of the night and enjoy it with everyone else. How the Casino Night WorkedStudents walked in, picked up their chips, and headed straight for the tables—blackjack, roulette, or poker. There was no gambling involved, just play for chips that could be turned in for raffle tickets later in the night.
Clear signs covered the basics—how it worked, where to play, and where to cash out—so nobody had to stop and figure anything out. Students could walk up, sit down, and get right into it. Table Games in Action: Blackjack, Roulette, and PokerBlackjack, roulette, and poker were each set up as their own stations, with clear signage at every table showing how to play, minimum bets, and what the goal of the game was. Six blackjack tables kept hands moving with students stepping in and out, while roulette pulled in small groups watching the wheel and picking numbers. Poker was run as a tournament, with seated tables, timed rounds, and winners at each table.
Students didn’t have to ask how anything worked. The rules were right in front of them at every table, so they could sit down and start playing without slowing anything down. Clear Signage and Student FlowNo one had to stop and figure anything out—it was all right in front of them.
Students walked in, got it immediately, and moved straight into the tables. Outdoor College Campus Setting at NightThe event was set across a college courtyard, giving students room to move between tables, hang out, and stay part of the action.
It felt open, easy to move through, and comfortable to stay for the full night. A Trusted Partner for College Late Night ProgrammingThis is the kind of night college events are supposed to be. No alcohol. No gambling. Just students showing up, sitting down together, playing, laughing, competing a little, and actually connecting. That’s what makes these Late Night Lineups work—and why we’re proud to be part of them. We’ve done a lot of these with the student board for the late night programming at Pepperdine, and it comes down to trust. They know we’re going to come in, get it set up right, run it the way it should be run, and give them a night that students actually show up for and stay at. We do it all in-house. The entertainment, the signage, the flow, the staff—everything is ours. That means it stays consistent, it stays organized, and it works within real school event budgets. More bang for the buck without cutting corners. At the end of the night, this isn’t about casino games. It’s about giving students something to do together. A reason to hang out, meet people, and be part of something on campus. And honestly—doing it in Malibu on a Friday or Saturday night doesn’t hurt either. Always a good night, always a great crowd, and always a pleasure working with their team.
