Corporate Carnival Picnic Planning at The MET in Costa Mesa: Catering & Games for 700 People

We had the privilege of organizing a team building luncheon with a carnival-theme at The MET in Costa Mesa for McCarthy Cook, hosting over 700 people. We set up traditional carnival games alongside modern adult games to create a socially dynamic, interactive atmosphere for the adults.

In addition to the entertainment, their all-inclusive team building luncheon package featured our catering with a delicious menu including our award-winning Tri-Tip and renowned pulled BBQ chicken sliders. Vegan options such as savory stuffed bell peppers and vegan dogs, alongside sides like three-bean BBQ baked beans and fresh-cut mixed green salad, were also enjoyed, all prepared onsite in our state-of-the-art pop-up kitchen.

Planning a Corporate Carnival at the MET with Catering & Entertainment for 500 People

This event was a team-building corporate carnival luncheon, bringing together multiple businesses inside The MET building in Costa Mesa.

​Before we put together the event planning package for this team building luncheon, we aimed first to understand the crowd, their ages, demographics, and what they do, as well as conduct a site visit to get a feel for the venue space we were working with. With all this, we created the most amazing corporate carnival luncheon that perfectly matched the attendees' interests and the venue's unique layout, ensuring an unforgettable experience filled with laughter, connection, and engagement.

In addition to the traditional carnival booths, we added a bunch of adult-focused picnic activities creating an energetic hub brimming with yard games, table games, and arcade favorites. This dynamic space encouraged lively, interactive play, drawing everyone into the action and transforming every corner of the venue into a vibrant zone for connection and fun. The result was an event that was not only engaging but also created a buzz throughout the entire space, ensuring a memorable and immersive experience.

Our catering team efficiently served over 700 people in just 45 minutes, allowing plenty of time for games and activities within their two-hour time frame.

Attendees at the event delighted in our catering team's award-winning dishes, including tender smoked tri-tip and BBQ pulled chicken sliders topped with crunchy onions and coleslaw. For vegan options, we offered stuffed bell peppers with Impossible™ meat and vegan dogs. Everyone enjoyed our vegan-friendly side dishes such as 3-bean BBQ baked beans and fresh-cut mixed green garden veggie salad, along with a full condiment bar for customizing every dish.

Cohesive Food Service Tents: Picture Perfect

All of our company picnic planning includes custom-designed booths, flagging with matching table covers, and signs, ensuring a cohesive and professional appearance that effortlessly guides guests to their desired areas. This unified look not only enhances the backdrop of photos but also sets the tone for the event, creating a consistent and inviting atmosphere.

Fun Food Shack: Offering Carnival Treats

​To satisfy their sweet tooth, we set up our Fun Foods Shack featuring shaved ice with self-serve assorted flavors, alongside expertly crafted funnel cakes topped with powdered sugar and strawberries. The Fun Foods Shack matched the cohesive look of our other food service and activity booths, ensuring the entire event had a professional and unified appearance.

Refreshing Beverage Stations with Cohesive Design

In keeping with the cohesive look of our food services, the Beverage Station offered guests freshly squeezed lemonade, sweet tea, and cold filtered water throughout the event.

Enhancing the Carnival Atmosphere with Bistro Seating

The MET offers company picnic seating, but we enhanced the carnival-theme atmosphere by bringing in additional 32" round bistro tables with red checkered linens. This provided an attractive and inviting place for guests to have a drink and conversation away from the game area.

Advanced Event Audio Distribution: Satellite Speaker Clusters for Surround Sound & Zoned Wireless Mics

We configured satellite surround speaker clusters seamlessly integrated into the decor, using a PA system and zoning the wireless microphone outputs to these speakers. This setup allowed us to deliver targeted announcements to specific areas, like the game or catering zones, or to the entire event, ensuring even sound distribution throughout the venue.
