Company Picnic Planning for 150 Guests at Bolsa Chica State BeachWe had the pleasure of planning a company picnic at Bolsa Chica State Beach for WATG, gathering 150 guests for an oceanfront afternoon of food, games, and beach views in Huntington Beach. Our team set up a comfortable home base at the shaded picnic shelters along the sand dunes, keeping the ocean in full view. To keep everyone energized and refreshed, we provided full food and beverage service throughout the day. This fueled the group for a lively afternoon of Olympic-style field games, including three-legged races, chicken grab, and cup stacking. Guests also enjoyed classic carnival booths like bottle ringer, shuffle bowling, and tic-tac-toe. The afternoon wrapped up on a relaxed note, with ice cream novelties on the sand as the waves rolled in just beyond the boardwalk. Company Picnic Catering for 150 at Bolsa Chica State BeachOur full catering service managed the logistics seamlessly, moving the group through lunch and dessert without long lines. Branded tents and clear signage marked each station, allowing guests to easily navigate the burger grill, condiment bar, and cold beverage stations. Friendly servers maintained a quick, organized rhythm to handle the 150 guests in waves rather than creating a single bottleneck. This thoughtful layout and clear direction ensured the entire food service flowed smoothly from start to finish. Budget-Friendly Menu Options To complement the service, the budget-friendly menu delivered exceptional quality. The spread included 1/3 lb. Angus hamburgers, all-beef hot dogs, soft buns, chili and cheese, French fries, and garlic vegetables. By setting these classics up across our organized stations, guests could easily customize their meals and get back to the beachfront activities. Main Buffet
Olympic Team Building Competition Along the Bolsa Chica CoastlineOur Olympic-style field games are the heart of every company picnic, and we customized this session specifically to fit WATG’s team of architects and designers. Since the beach venue utilized a paved pavilion rather than a traditional lawn, we adapted our game lineup to deliver an interactive field day directly on the concrete surface. Led by a comedic, energetic host with a full professional sound system, the activities were tailored to spark the team's natural problem-solving and competitive spirit. From strategic cup-stacking races to interactive target challenges, the custom setup kept the entire group engaged, laughing, and working together right by the water. Three carnival booths gave the WATG team an easy way to play between rounds of the Olympic Field Games. The lineup featured Bottle Ringer, Crazy Driver, Shuffle Bowling, Roller Bowler, Tic Tac Toe, and Tipsy Clowns. Each game was quick, self-serve, and required no host. The employees could wander over from the pavilion, take a shot, and head back to the buffet or beach. A Round of Mini Golf and Cornhole with an Ocean ViewOur 3-hole mini-golf challenge and cornhole near the pavilion gave guests a break from the field games. No formal scheduling, guests could putt or toss a few bags whenever they wanted, in between trips to the buffet and the beach.
